Your New Library Card
In order to receive your free library card, you will need a valid government ID and proof of residency. If your government ID does not reflect your current, Inkster address, please provide a current bill with matching name to the valid government ID.

Renew Your Library Card
To renew your current card, please visit the Library during operating hours, provide a valid government ID with proof of residency to staff, and your renewal will be complete in a few short minutes.
Replace Your Library Card
To replace your current card, please visit the Library during operating hours, inform staff that your visit is to replace your library card, provide a valid government ID with proof of Inkster residency to staff. Replacement cards are $1.00 to be paid upon replacement.
Children Library Cards
Library cards can be made for any member of the family, no matter their age. Cards for patrons under 18 years of age require a guardian present, with their current government ID and proof of Inkster residency. The guardian information will be kept for contact purposes only.
